Filming Day 1!

The production begins today! For the first week, Blue's scenes are filmed first, as it is the main character of the story. Blue is portrayed by the Mattel Jurassic World small Blue figure, as I prefer Velociraptors to be accurately sized based on science.

It will also feature the Dilophosaurus. The Dilophosaurus is from the same toy line as Blue.

The film will also feature the Allosaurus, a large carnivore from the Jurassic period. It will be portrayed by the Mattel Jurassic World electronic Allosaurus. Like the other electronic sound figures in the line, the jaw of the Allosaurus can be moved by pressing a button on its back, making it easy to operate without needing stop motion for it to move.

During the filming process, the blue screen and some props are used, as Chroma keying will be utilized in the project via editing with Adobe Premiere. Filming with Blue the Velociraptor and the blue screen proved to be a challenge as Blue has, literally, blue color in its color scheme, and it may blend with the background during the editing process. The green screen is unsuitable for the filming as some of the dinosaurs (including the Dilophosaurus) have green in their color scheme.
